MODUL4R gathering in Athens

June brought an exciting milestone for the MODUL4R Consortium, as its 18th Month Review Meeting took place in summery Athens, Greece. On the 11th and 12th of June, MODUL4R experts gathered at the CORE Innovation Centre to discuss their scientific achievements and developments with the European Commission’s project officer and assigned reviewer.

The project still has a few months to go before it reaches its halfway point, but the outcomes it has achieved are already highly significant. During the meeting, the overall architecture for modular manufacturing operations and resilient production lines as well as a large number of individual modules and interfaces in hardware, software, simulation models, algorithms, and methods were presented. Selected solutions were either demonstrated practically or presented through videos.

The European Commission reviewers provided positive feedback, highlighting the project’s accomplishments while also offering valuable recommendations for its next phase. These suggestions emphasized the need to focus more on the project's social impact and further demonstrations within industrial environments.
